Refresh the Congress

The Problem: Leaders in congress put party first and serve subsets of Americans. Every election we're promised change, but get the same failure.

The Root Cause: Our voting system favors two party dominance and those parties have marginalized the power of your vote. District lines are drawn by party leaders to prevent competitive elections, political outcomes are influenced disproportionately by money, and our plurality voting system prevents fair competition from independents and third party candidates.

The Solution: Refresh the congress. Federal district lines are drawn by non partisan committees that use only population and geographic data to create contiguous district boundaries. Provide every taxpayer a $50 democracy voucher to shift the focus of our politicians away from large dollar donors and special interests groups and onto everyday Americans. Upgrade the voting system to score voting which would give voters full expression at the ballot box and allow for fair competition from independents and third parties.
