Contribution Limit Pledge

This pledge is dedicated to two groups: Those who recognize the corrosive effect that money has on our democracy, and those who are troubled by the 1% vs 99% class warfare that permeates politics today.
The leadership style I promote levels the playing fields, serves equally, and condemns the influence of money on political outcomes. Serving equally means I serve the 1% no differently than the 99% and vice versa. In honor of this style the $199 contribution limit was born. The pledge states:
- While campaigning to be Florida’s next United States Senator I will limit individual campaign contributions to $199.
- While serving as Senator, and for the full duration of my term, I will maintain a $199 contribution limit.
