Make Members Come to Work

When Congress is in session, members typically show up on Tuesday and leave on Thursday, leaving one day to cast votes and get things done in Washington. This is not only unproductive in terms of hours spent legislating, but it contributes to the lack of congeniality among members that is counterproductive and can lead to hostility.

I support any effort that increases the duration of consecutive time a congressmen is in Washington. (#5 of 12 ways to make congress work, as proposed by nolabels.org)
